DR. KAREN LEVY, O.D.
Karen Levy, O.D. is a native of Beacon, New York and earned her B.S in Biology with honors from Widener University. She received her Doctor of Optometry from SUNY College of Optometry, graduating as valedictorian of her class. Dr. Levy completed rotations at University Eye Center and the Philadelphia Veterans Hospital, with a focus in ocular disease, specialty contact lenses and low vision services. During Dr. Levy’s education, she received numerous academic and clinical awards, including the Pacesetter Award for Excellence in Primary Care, the Dr. Mark S. Feder Scholarship for Excellence in Primary Care, the VSP Practice Excellence Award, and the BSK Award for Academic Excellence. She was honored to receive the SUNY Chancellors Award for Student Excellence, the highest honor bestowed upon a student from a SUNY campus. Outside of the classroom, Dr. Levy has been involved in planning and organizing VisionWalk NYC; an annual event that fundraises for research into blinding retinal diseases. Dr. Levy currently resides in Philadelphia, PA and has interests in running, hiking, cooking and spending time with her family.
