Cataract Surgery
Cataracts are a natural part of the aging process and occur when the clear lens inside the eye gradually becomes cloudy. This can lead to blurred vision, glare while driving at night, faded colors, and difficulty reading or seeing fine details. When cataracts begin interfering with your daily activities, cataract surgery can safely restore clear vision.
At our practice, we guide you through every step of the cataract process—from diagnosis and surgical planning to post-operative care—so you feel confident and well informed about your treatment.
When Is Cataract Surgery Recommended?
Cataract surgery is typically recommended when vision changes begin to affect everyday activities such as:
- Driving, especially at night
- Reading or working on digital devices
- Watching television
- Seeing clearly in bright sunlight or glare
- Recognizing faces or fine details
Our doctors will carefully evaluate your eyes and discuss whether cataract surgery is the right option for you.

Advanced Intraocular Lens Options
During cataract surgery, the cloudy natural lens is removed and replaced with a clear artificial lens called an intraocular lens (IOL). Several lens options may be available depending on your eyes and visual goals, including:
- Standard monofocal lenses
- Astigmatism-correcting (toric) lenses
- Multifocal or extended depth-of-focus lenses designed to reduce dependence on glasses
Our doctors will help you understand the advantages of each option and determine which lens technology best fits your lifestyle and visual needs.
